Where did this month go???

It is so hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week. This month has just flown by but I can't wait to enjoy a wonderful feast with my family on Thursday. I hope everyone has a wonderful "turkey day" and be careful if you plan to go shopping on Black Friday. Some of those people are crazy! The Stitch and Frame Shop will be closed on Thursday (Nov. 24) but will be open normal hours on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 25 & 26). The shop will have a sale after Thanksgiving but I do not have any details yet so please check the website next week for more information. Look below for some of the new desgins and possible gift ideas that I discovered this week.

From The Trilogy

At Halloween, they came out with The Domes of Doom, now we have The Domes of Yule. They can be stitched with just the words, as individual domes or you can combine the words with the domes.

Wow, if you haven't seen the pincushion kits from Just Another Button Company, then you need to. The newest release is Jolly Old Elf Pincushion and he is just too cute! Pumpkin spice is also adorable. Moe just finished the pumpkin and it is on display at the shop so come by and look at it if you can. I can hardly wait for her to do the Santa. Hurry Moe Hurry!

The kit includes: Weeks Dye Works hand dyed wools, ribbon, button, instructions and a set of 5 pins.

Just a quick post!

What a beautiful day it is. I should be at home raking the tons of leaves that are all over my yard but I would much rather blog about cross stitch. The raking can wait until this weekend when I can get some free help from my children. Won't they be pleased to find out what they will be doing tomorrow. Anyway, I just wanted to post some new designs that are available and some that are coming soon.

From Country Cottage Needleworks

Country Cottage Needleworks is beginning a new series called "Cottage of the Month". This series features 12 different cottages that are inspired by the months of the year. Each design will be about 5 1/2" square when stitched over two threads on 28 ct. fabric and will feature a mix of DMC and over dyed threads. The first cottage to be released (end of Nov. or first of Dec.) will be "January" (see photo below). This looks like a cute new series.

Also releasing (from Country Cottage Needleworks) at the end of the month is "Vintage Christmas". I really like this pattern but I would probably change the colors to more traditional Christmas ones even though the pastels do look very nice.

Only 51 days until Christmas!

Wow, I can't believe that Halloween has come and gone. This year has been flying by. Christmas is just around the corner (51 days away) so my fingers need to fly if I plan to get any stitching gifts done in time. There are many new Christmas designs that have recently been released so I wanted to share those with you, along with some other new designs. Maybe you will be inspired to do one as a gift or even something just for yourself.
