Happy Fourth of July...early

 I know I'm a little early since the 4th is not until next Tuesday but I will not be blogging again until the 10th. The Stitch and Frame Shop will be CLOSED on Monday July 3rd and Tuesday July 4th. Since this will be a long weekend for me (yea!!!), I hope to get some stitching done. 

With that thought in mind, here are some new designs that will be arriving in the shop soon.

What a great gift idea...a birthday needleroll.  Each sampler features a birthstone heart stitched in sparkling metallic thread, a medallion and a tiny garden showing the appropriate flowers for that month. July, August, and September are the first releases. More to come.

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was great it just went too fast. I worked on Saturday and then had a dual celebration on Sunday (Father's Day and my daughter's 17th birthday). My little girl is growing up so fast. It's hard to believe that she will be graduating high school next year. 

Despite all the hoopla this weekend, I was able to get a little stitching done. I'm trying to finish the project I took with me on vacation. I'ts almost done. I should finish it this week and then can go back to alternating between two other projects.

Here is a picture of Lesson One from the Summer Schoolhouse - Lessons in Abecedarian series.  There will be a total of 4 lessons all meant to be stitched together in one long piece. However, I think Lesson 1 would make a great stand alone piece but not sure about the others. Time will tell. This design should arrive at the end of June/first of July.

Happy Summer...the heat has arrived!

As I was watching the news this morning, I was informed by the weatherman that we will be having a heat wave this week (well, it is June). It just makes me appreciate my air conditioner and ceiling fans even more. I guess this means I should avoid the heat and humidity by staying indoors and stitching. This is a perfectly good idea and one in which I will actually follow through with.
