For anyone who wants to visit the shop over the Labor Day weekend, I wanted to let you know that it will be closed on Labor Day (Monday September 5, 2011) but will be having a pre-Labor Day sale on Friday (Sept. 2) and Saturday (Sept. 3). During this sale, all in stock fall and Halloween books and kits will be 25% off. All other in stock books and kits will be 20% off and everything else in the store (except custom framing) will be 10% off. This would be a great time to get those Christmas gifts.
If you are unable to come shop in the store, then do your shopping online. Any order placed on Friday (Sept. 2) and Saturday (Sept.3) will receive any applicable discounts as long as the item(s) are in stock. Whether you shop in the store or online, there are great savings to be had......enjoy shopping!
The Sunday after Labor Day (Sept. 11) will be the 10th anniversary of 9/11. So in remembrance of that event and as a special thank you to all the wonderful men and women who serve our country, all patriotic books will 25% off during the pre-Labor Day sale. This would be a great time to stitch something that would remind us of what a great country we live in and would honor the many dedicated men and women who strive to keep everyone safe.
I have posted a few patriotic patterns that I really like. Look on the website for even more.

NEW acrylic thread palettes have been ordered!
For those of us who stitch kits, either regularly or on occasion, there are some really cool new acrylic thread palettes available. These sturdy palettes are a wonderful way to sort floss and each one (except the heart) is also a ruler. My favorite one is the "ruler" shaped palette which says "Needleworker's Rule".

FYI: If you are planning to have some finishing done (pillows, stockings, bellpulls, etc.) for Christmas, Diana has set the cut off date as November 1, 2011. Please make sure to drop off whatever you need to have finished before then in order to have it ready for Christmas. She will only guarantee items that she receives by Nov. 1st.
I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Labor Day weekend!
